I completed my Ph.D. from IISER Kolkata. I am currently working at the interface of inorganic and medicinal chemistry. My work combines organic and inorganic synthesis with a broad range of analytical and photophysical techniques to build molecules that treat and detect cancer.
My current projects focus on cyclometalated Ir(III) and Ru(II) complexes for photodynamic therapy, mechanisms of cell death such as ferroptosis in triple-negative breast cancer, and fluorogenic probes for enzymes like ALDH1A1 that mark cancer stem cells.
Outside the lab I read widely, experiment with scientific illustration and cover art, and follow international relations and diplomacy.
